Community Update (22nd January, 2024)

This update brings new map locations and features, bug fixes, and improvements to UI/UX.

Update Highlights

As per usual, here are the highlights of this weeks update.

šŸ’ŗ New Feature: Sitting

We've added the ability to sit down on multiple different types of chairs, stools and couches with full support for multiple players sitting on the same object.

This means that you're now able to share couches and other seats with other players, adding to the social experience of our server :)

Send some screenshots on our Discord server of you and your friends enjoying this feature!

šŸ‘€ Improved: Notifications & HUD

We've spiced-up the design of notifications and other HUD elements to make them more noticeable and to fit in with the rest of the updated UI on the server. We're not done with these changes yet, so next update will include some more improvements.

šŸŽ‰ Improved: Parties

We've added a new feature and quality of life improvement to our parties system.
Read the full details below for each individually.

~ šŸŽØ Re-designed Listing

The main parties page has been given a major facelift to improve user experience across the board.

Each party listing in the new UI shows the description of the party as well as the type of the party, both in the form of text and an icon depending on the party type.

This change is intended to improve the experience for all players, new and experienced, and provides a better interface for seeing what a party is about.

We encourage party leaders to better utilise party descriptions to better describe the activities that the party will be engaging in. An example of this, for a car meet, would be to describe the theme of the meet, such as "muscle cars only" or some other strict variation you may be interested in - the choice is yours!

~ šŸ› Bug Fixes

We've fixed the issue with party members not being kicked out of party zones, as well as the bug that kicked you out of your vehicles.

Another issue that we've addressed with this update is the long-standing bug of party moderators clogging up the limit, preventing you from adding more party members unless you remove them first.

We apologise for the frustration that these issues caused, but they are now (thankfully) in the rear-view mirror.

If you encounter any bugs or issues then please do open a bug report on our Discord with reproduction steps - we'll fix it as soon as we can.

~ šŸ“£ Party Announcements

Party leaders can now send announcements to all members of their parties. This announcement pops up on the screen of all members and is intended to be used for large or medium-sized public parties where leaders may want to announce changes to their parties.

This feature can only be used once every 5 minutes. Spamming it may result in people leaving your party, so please use it sparingly and as needed!

You can make a party announcement by clicking the new, green announcement button in the party settings box of the server hub.

~ ā¬‡ļø Configurable Member Limit

We've added the ability for party leaders to configure the max number of members allowed to be in their parties at any given time. Of course, the maximum number of members allowed still depends on your supporter tier.

You can configure this limit using the slider in the party settings box of the server hub. You cannot set a limit less than the current number of members in your party.

ā• Improved: Zones

Alongside the new zones that were added at Cayo Perico, we've also added three new meet zones in the downtown city area, featuring the Lombank and Pavilion parking lots.

The zones in the downtown area were heavily requested by a lot of you, and we're glad that they are now in the zone rotation pool for you to enjoy :)

If you have any suggestions for any new zones, drop a post on our feedback site here (click).

šŸ”§ New Location: Benny's Airport Garage

A new Benny's location has been erected near the Airport Los Santos Customs garage, and it's looking good. Benny has been expanding lately, and this is one of his new locations.

Complete with an open garage space, helipad, a large parking lot, and office space, this opens up a lot of potential for future server activities, features and story lines.

šŸ‡ New Location: Benny's Racetrack

A new racetrack has been built under the highways leading up to LSIA - by no other than Benny himself. The racetrack is suited more for go-karting, but you can take any type of vehicle onto it, if it fits!

šŸ§° Location Upgrade: Benny's Tuner Shop

Benny has taken over the old tuner shop garage at the docks and improved it with some much needed upgrades.

The layout has been changed, a bar has been added (with seating), better lighting installed, and four dedicated dyno bays for modding your vehicles. The space is much less cluttered and is perfect for car meets and other gatherings.

šŸŒ“ Location Upgrade: Cayo Perico

We've added a brand-new bridge linking the main map to the island of Cayo Perico as well as multiple new meet zones across the island to make the trip worthwhile.

The bridge is amazing to look at and drive on, and we're sure that a lot of you will have some amazing screenshots to show.

Here's a couple that we've picked from the screenshots channel on our Discord server, taken by members ZEROx47 and Donut:

šŸš™ New Content: Vehicles

In this update, we've added almost 100 new vehicles to the server for you all to enjoy and customize with your friends and other players. This brings our total custom vehicle count up to 250+.

Do note that the vehicles in these updates are individually hand-picked and tested before getting added, so while there isn't a lot right now, this count will go up as more quality content is released. We are working hard to rebuild our content and we're on a steady and consistent track.
